After the total flops of Origami (wtf was that anyway?) and the Zune, they seem to be coming back into relevance with Silverlight, which, according to Scoble, rebooted the web, and now Surface.
This is the type of product I wouldn’t have expected M$ to come out with first (without it having been leaked months in advance). Kudos! I still wouldn’t expect these products to be necessarily user-friendly, Silverlight is a shockingly light download. That definately is not in the M$ tradition.
